Bio

Shane Douglass's football journey is a testament to dedication, skill, and a love for the game. His story began with four remarkable years of high school football, culminating in a triumphant 2006 2A/3A state championship. Shane's passion for football continued through his service in the Marine Corps, where he honed his discipline and teamwork.
Upon enrolling at McDaniel College, Shane made a significant impact on the defensive side of the field for four years. His outstanding performance earned him numerous defensive awards, showcasing his talent and commitment as a student-athlete.
After his playing career, Shane transitioned to coaching, starting as the JV Defensive Coordinator at Friendly High School in 2018. His coaching prowess quickly became evident, leading him to George C. Marshall High School as the Defensive Coordinator from 2019 to 2022. Under his guidance, the team secured a district title in the spring of 2020, and several players advanced to collegiate football.
From 2022 to 2025, Shane continued to excel as the Defensive Coordinator for two teams within the Southern Maryland Athletic Conference. His strategic acumen and leadership have been instrumental in shaping successful defenses.
Now, as the 8th-year Defensive Coordinator at Archbishop Carroll, Shane Douglass is poised to lead the defense with the same passion and excellence that have defined his career. His journey is a shining example of what can be achieved through hard work, dedication, and a true love for the game.
